A few days after the release of their single (November 23), Stromae and Pomme are breaking records. The song, which is part of the soundtrack of the Netflix series Arcane, is the most listened to French-language song in history after its first 24 hours on Spotify.

A triumphant return. Stromae, who had been away from the scene for several months, surpassed a French-speaking record for his return to business. His latest work, “Ma Meilleure Ennemie”, never ceases to seduce.

Accustomed to success, Stromae is no exception to the rule with this featuring recorded with the singer Pomme, which explodes the meters of the listening platforms. The title placed in first position on Spotify in number of plays on the first day of broadcast for a French-speaking song.

Even more impressive, the Belgian musician recorded more than three times as many plays as the previous record holder: the group PNL, with their song “Au DD”. At the time, the two brothers had made a historic start.

Logically, the title occupies first place in but is also distinguished by its eighth place in the world rankings. This is the first time that Stromae has placed one of his songs in the world top 10. A success which is necessarily based on that of the animated series Arcane, of which “Ma Meilleure Ennemie” serves as the soundtrack for season 2. Another success for French-speaking creation, since the steampunk series is based on a studio French animation called Fortiche.
