With a touch of nostalgia, Thierry Lhermitte looked back on his memories with Michel Blanc. The eternal Jean-Claude Dusse in The Bronzedmajor actor in comedic cinema in the 80s before moving into dramatic roles and a career as a director, died in early October at the age of 72.
“With Michel, we were constantly making jokes. It was our main activity apart from writing and playing”, he confided on RTL. “In the wall at the back of the stage, we had made holes to look at the spectators” as well as “holes below”.
These holes were used by the duo of pranksters, members of Splendid, to shoot “grains of rice” at the public using “BIC pens”, explained Thierry Lhermitte. And to conclude: “They couldn’t imagine that it was the actors who were throwing grains of rice at them. We laughed like mental patients. We were crazy.“
