American R&B singer Khalid revealed his homosexuality on his social networks, after being “outed” by his former partner.
A revelation that was not voluntary. R&B star Khalid came out on his X account this Saturday. He was initially “outed”, his homosexuality having been revealed by his former companion without his authorization, before speaking out himself.
“I was outed and the Earth continues to spin. To be clear, I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality, it's nobody's business. But I am in agreement with myself,” the artist wrote on X.
Shortly before, another man, claiming to be his former companion, revealed Khalid's homosexuality in a publication on the social network, which was widely relayed.
Since then, the man has deleted his message, and the chatter has spoken out, responding to Internet users. “Wait, I hope Khalid isn’t gay?” one of them said. “I am! And everything is fine,” replied the artist.
As a reminder, at only 26 years old, Khalid is on the rise. He is notably nominated for the next Grammy Awards, which will be held on February 2 in Los Angeles.
