This Saturday, November 23, journalist Christophe Hondelatte was invited to the set of C L'Hebdo. He was questioned about the Palmade affair, who was sentenced this Wednesday, November 20 to five years in prison, including two years, after a day of trial at the criminal court, for the car accident that 'he caused in February 2023.

The sentence was pronounced with a “committal warrant with deferred effect with provisional execution”, which means that the development of his sentence will soon be determined by the prosecutor of (city of residence of the comedian). Laurent Valdiguié, investigative journalist for Marianne, was also invited and explained how Pierre Palmade's sentence should be organized.

What will happen now for Pierre Palmade?

According to the journalist, Pierre Palmade should be incarcerated in , the penitentiary center located closest to Bordeaux : “When you arrive in prison for the first time, you are in the arrivals section where they observe you a little to see how you cope with the shock. Alone or not alone, depending on your personality (…) When people are suicidal or there is a risk: they don't leave them alone!” he explained.

Still according to him, the comedian might not benefit from incarceration in the VIP section, but his lawyer does not share this opinion. Sonia Kemel, guest on BFMTV on November 21, assumes that Pierre Palmade must be protected given his status as a public figure. She also explained that it was possible that Pierre Palamde would benefit from a reduced sentence depending on the “conditions depending on how the detention will go, on his personality, if he submits to care, if he behaves correctly in prison…”.

Christophe Hondelatte “He is a person who is anxious about relationships”

The second journalist present on the set, Christophe Hondelatte, gave his opinion on the attitude that Pierre Palmade could have in prison. Christophe Hondelatte has already had the opportunity to interview him, and knows that the actor has difficulty with social relationships.

What he therefore explained, while giving his opinion on the possible attitude of Pierre Palmade in prison
: “There are 2 attitudes for people known in prison. Bernard Tapie became friends with the inmates straight away. Pierre Palmade is a person who is anxious about relationships. I don't see Palmade in the Tapie way while out walking.”
