Le Vauban, French School and Lycée of Luxembourg, celebrated its 40th anniversary on Thursday evening. For the occasion, the establishment pulled out all the stops, with choice guests: the Minister of National Education, the French Ambassador to Luxembourg and none other than the Franco-Luxembourg host Stéphane Bern . The latter, a distinguished guest, played the selfie game with everyone, whether students, their parents or even the teaching staff.

Young Carla, a 15-year-old second-year high school student, was able to interview the host, as part of the school webjournal. An incredible moment for the Franco-Luxembourger who lives in Luxembourg, moved to tears as she left the room.

“Carla is incredible,” comments the specialist in crowned heads. “I find it wonderful to meet someone so young and who has already found her vocation, it’s great.” The young girl wants to devote herself to the conservation of heritage, like her idol.

Carla has been a fan of the host since she was 10 years old. A passion that the high school student shares with her mother. “We watch his show “Secrets d’Histoires” all the time. We feel like we’re traveling,” says his mother. Nathalie Giusto, Luxembourgish teacher, initiated his visit. “When we talk to young people about Stéphane Bern, everyone knows him, we have watched all his reports.”

Carla not only left with a dedication from the host but also stars in her eyes, which she will keep for a while.
