Kendji spoke in a long video message.

The singer opened up and apologized.

After the “affair”, Kendji Girac published a long message in which he apologized for his actions. Today that the police have released their conclusions and he knows that he will not be prosecuted and that there will be no follow-up to his madness, the singer spoke in a long video posted on Instagram. He discusses the circumstances of his injury and what happened that evening.

“Hello everyone, I am so stressed and happy at the same time to address you all. Since my message of May 10, I have not given you any news, because I had to take care of myself and think about what happened to understand how I got here and above all make the right decisions for the future. I also wanted to let justice do its job.”

But that’s not all, he obviously thought about his actions and expressed mea culpa about what happened that night. He thus expresses his regrets for his action which could have been fatal to him.

“I regret everything that happened. Before my accident and for some time I had developed bad habits (…) I got lost, all that is not part of me. I want to apologize to you as you know, I almost lost my life, the love of my family, my audience, my friends and my daughter almost lost her father I don’t know what. It happened. I want to go back to being the boy I was, that I am deep down. The most important thing is to learn from your mistakes, you can always get back up, the most important thing is to get help. don’t do it again.”

Finally, he apologizes again to those he hurt and also explains how the unwavering support of his audience helped him get through this sad time.

I want to apologize to those I hurt, to whom I have hurt. My goal is to make people happy with a little song, a smile or a share. I’ve been like that since I was little, except that now I’ve done the complete opposite and I could have never been here to tell you. God gave me this second chance, and if he gave it to me, it’s not for nothing (…) The most important thing is that, now, all that is behind me. Today, I am immensely lucky, it is that I have your support. It is important to me to thank you and for having been kind not to have judged me when I had caused you pain.”

The emotion is palpable when Kendji speaks. It is therefore difficult to question one’s word, especially since it is never easy to publicly express one’s self-criticism…
