Director Jacques Doillon filed a complaint for defamation after Judith Godrèche accused him of “filming with children” with whom “he sleeps”. The actress was indicted, Le Parisien reported.
In a story posted on Instagram, Judith Godrèche announced, Tuesday, November 19, that she was “indictment for defamation linked to the complaint filed by (s)one’s attacker” Jacques Doillon. The latter had filed a complaint against the actress in February 2024 for “deeply offensive comments”when she accused him of “touring with children”, “who he sleeps with”reported The Parisian.
The actress also published a second story, in which she tackles Jacques Doillon's lawyer who commissioned “someone to watch” his Instagram account. Judith Godrèche also indicates that the lawyer sent “warnings” to his own lawyer, since Jacques Doillon filed a complaint. And to add: “How strange it is deep down to imagine being in this line of sight”.
Automatic examination
Judith Godrèche had filed a complaint, in early 2024, for rape of a 15-year-old minor against the directors Benoît Jacquot and Jacques Doillon. The first had maintained a relationship with the actress, then aged 14, and he 25 years older. She had denounced sexual violence on the part of the second during the filming of the film The 15 year old girlin 1989, when she was only 15 years old. Both men dispute these accusations. At the National Assembly, a parliamentary commission of inquiry against sexual violence in the world of cinema was notably opened.
Indictments are automatic in defamation proceedings. It will be up to the criminal court to rule on this matter.
