Behind her doll-like appearance with her long platinum blonde hair, her big blue eyes and her dazzling smile, Victoria Kjær Theilvig hides a dark past. On the night of Saturday November 16 to Sunday November 17, the Dane won the Miss Universe 2024 competition against one hundred and twenty-four competitors.

She is also particularly invested in raising awareness about mental health. A cause that is close to her heart because she herself has suffered numerous traumas. “I have a difficult past. I come from a very dysfunctional family plagued by drug addictions. I suffered abuse and I also survived rape”she continued in the Miss Universe video.

Despite this terrible liability, Victoria Kjær Theilvig was able to bounce back and turn her difficulties into strength. “With this part of my life, I've worked so much on myself…I'm only 20 years old and I stand before you stronger than I've ever been.
