There won't be much doubt in the coming days if you think you'll come across JoeyStarr in the streets of Brest or surrounding towns: it will surely be him himself! The rapper and actor is in fact in the sector for the filming of the third season of the series “The Replacement”, broadcast on TF1 since 2021. Extras were sought recently to take part in it. JoeyStarr plays Nicolas Valeyre, “an original and uncompromising French teacher, whether towards his colleagues or his students”. He posted, this Monday, November 18, 2024, in the morning, videos taken from the Kermorvan peninsula, in Conquet, on his Instagram account.
Filming in town: watch out for parking!
Several filming locations are planned until the end of the month: at Sainte-Anne-du-Portzic beach and in front of the entrance to the Jardin des Explorateurs, from this Monday until Tuesday evening; but also in the city center of Brest where an order has been issued to regulate parking and the movement of vehicles in several streets. Parking of vehicles, other than that of the organization, will for example be prohibited from Thursday, November 28, 7:30 a.m., to the next day, 7 a.m., rue d'Aiguillon, in the part between rue du Château and rue Victor -Segalen; rue Voltaire, in its part between rue d'Aiguillon and rue Traverse. The same will apply from Friday November 29, 7:30 a.m., to Saturday 30, 7 a.m., rue Ducouédic, in the part between number 5 inclusive and rue Amiral-Linois; rue Amiral-Linois, in its part between number 30 inclusive and rue Ducouédic; as well as in rue Docteur-et-Madame-de-La Marnierre.
Parking will also be prohibited from this Tuesday, November 19, at 6 p.m., to Wednesday 20, at 3 p.m., in rue de Verdun, in the entire car park located at number 117, facing rue des Deux-Frères-Guézennec . Rue des Fulmars is also affected, until Tuesday, November 19, at 6:30 p.m.
The movement of vehicles and pedestrians may also be prohibited in several sectors:
– Wednesday, November 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., rue de Verdun, in the part between place Simon and rue des Deux-Frères-Guézennec.
– From Thursday, November 28, 1:30 p.m., to Friday, November 29, 4 a.m., rue d'Aiguillon, in the part between rue du Château and rue Victor-Segalen.

According to the casting announcement, filming should last until December 20.
