On December 14, the regional Misses will be able to compete in the national competition, organized in Poitiers.
But before parading, they must first complete their traditional journey,
this time in Ivory Coast.
For a week, they prepare for the Miss France competition. And if some left in groups, others were forced to fend for themselves, like Miss Corsica: “I left alone with my three suitcases and even the folk costume that I put in the cockpit myself. The misses from the French Overseas Territories and I had to bring it with us to Paris”she confides to Parisian who followed the young women.
The regional Misses take off for their traditional trip
Finally, the regional Misses are on board: “Girls, you store your passport carefully in your bag. And not anywhere in front of you where you risk losing it”launches a chaperone. Besides, there is no question of showing favoritism. All are called by the region they represent and not their name. “At 18 as at 33, the age of the oldest candidate, called like the others by her scarf, 'Martinique!'”. The tone is set! The young women will have a week to fully get into the swing of the national competition.
And what does Sylvie Tellier think? The former boss of the Miss France committee was indeed invited to C8. And she confided in the candidate she prefers: “So, it's complicated to give your favorite today, because I have to hear them, I have to see them parade, but I have the right to become hyper chauvinistic again because I am part of the 'organization. So obviously, for the moment, it's Rhône-Alpes”, she explained.
Sylvie Tellier reveals her favorite candidate
This is Alexcia Couly, a 22-year-old biotechnology engineering student: “Because Lyon has been waiting for this for 23 years,” she explained. Sylvie Tellier is therefore waiting for the Miss from her region to finally be elected.
On December 14, Eve Gilles will therefore be replaced by a new young woman. A very special moment for Miss France 2024.
