Josh Alexander is calling time on his career on the independent scene to finish out 2024.

Indeed, the TNA wrestler announced on his social networks that after 20 years of hard work on the independent scene that he is making the decision to devote himself elsewhere. He will complete his scheduled dates in Canada and that will be the end of it.

He says:

''It doesn't matter what might or might not happen for my future. After talking with my family, I made the decision to stop taking independent dates.

I have loved my time in the indy world over the last 20 years. I've done incredible things, worked with incredible people, and traveled the world to wrestle in front of incredible fans.

That said, I'm tired of this hard work. It's time for the next generation to take over and fill the void I may leave behind on the Canadian scene.''

Despite this announcement, Josh Alexander urges fans to continue going to independent shows since prosperity relies on ticket sales.

Josh Alexander is still under contract with TNA, a contract which ends in February 2025. In February 2024, TNA made the decision to automatically renew Alexander's contract. There was a clause giving the company this possibility.

Now that the contract is coming to an end and Alexander announces this end in Indy, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him.
