Jean-Luc Delarue passed away on August 23, 2012 at the American hospital in Neuilly, at the age of 48 after a long battle with cancer. On the occasion of what would have been his 60th birthday, Jean-Claude Delarue, his father, spoke to Purepeople, Monday June 24, 2024 about his son. Born June 24, 1964, Jean-Luc Delarue left his mark on the French audiovisual landscape. In 1994, he created Ça se discuss on France 2 and his production company Réservoir Prod. He is also known for his shows It’s My Choice and A Whole Story. In December 2011, he publicly announced his fight against cancer, a battle he lost less than a year later. Jean-Luc Delarue’s father spoke of his son’s last moments: “I will never forget when he told me, before dying, that he could have continued to live if he had listened to the doctors, “he had done the necessary analyses, the necessary examinations.” And to continue: “So he said to me: ‘Dad, above all, don’t do like me. When the doctors tell you to go for this or that test, do it right away. I didn’t do it, I waited far too long. And now I have an illness that is going to end badly, I won’t make it…”

Jean-Claude Delarue, 85, also spoke of the good memories shared with his son, particularly during trips. “These are very good memories, moments of freedom, where the three of us were together.” [ndlr avec son autre fils Philippe]. Regarding emissions (…)
