The events took place this Monday, November 11 around 4:30 a.m. A car rammed into the Louis Vuitton store, located on Boulevard Saint-Germain in the 6th arrondissement of Paris.
Several shelves were looted and, according to a source close to the investigation, the security guard who was present on the scene was threatened. The Parisian specifies that he would nevertheless have succeeded in raising the alarm. The anti-crime brigade quickly arrived on site in order to come and challenge the men present in the store.
Once police arrived at the scene, they spotted a black Audi A6 with four men on board. They quickly got off to a flying start, taking the Pont de Sully but also the Quai Henri IV. The newspaper explains that, on several occasions, the thieves deliberately braked in order to be hit by the police car. One of them even rolled down the window to spray the police officers with a fire extinguisher. The start of a chase that could have ended very badly. After driving through the streets of the capital, the four men walked along the Seine, finding themselves in front of the Forensic Institute and then on the expressways.
Louis Vuitton: a store already attacked previous
The police hoped to be able to catch the four men, in vain. They found themselves on the A4 then were lost from sight at the intersection with the A86. But where did the Audi go? An investigation into organized theft was opened by the Paris prosecutor's office. The public prosecutor entrusted the case to the banditry suppression brigade. Will investigators be able to find the men behind these thefts? Was this store the only target of the criminals? A looting that worries many.
As the newspaper recalled, this is not the first time that the Louis Vuitton boutique is located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. On September 30, it had already been the target of a car-ramming attack. But why is this particular store so attractive to criminals? It is also specified that it would be the same operating procedure. Maybe they are also the same people? Only investigation can provide answers.
