“My drug addiction is destroying my life”: this terrible message sent by Pierre Palmade a few days before his accident

A news item that has never been forgotten. On February 10, 2023, he was driving his car when he caused a terrible road accident. After losing control of his car, he hit someone the wrong way. A pregnant woman lost her baby, a father and his seven-year-old son were seriously injured. This case was mentioned on the show Seven to Eight this Sunday, November 10. The comedian's producer notably mentioned an evening during which Pierre Palmade never came.
While he was supposed to perform on stage, it was the next day that the person concerned apologized.

In the report, we discover the content of this message. “I am ashamed of having done this dirty trick to you last night”, begins Pierre Palmade before returning to the reasons for his absence. “But I'm in a period right now where my drug addiction has destroyed my life,” he continued before declaring: “And I was unable to warn and even less to come”. Aware that this last minute cancellation could have impacted the theater, Pierre Palmade simply adds: “I’m really sorry, really site. I hope you were able to manage your show anyway. My apologies. Rock”.

Pierre Palmade: the comedian now sober?

Was this tragic accident a trigger for Pierre Palmade? According to his friend François Rollin, the main person concerned is now sober. “To my knowledge, he has been sober for a little over a year. No drugs or alcohol,”

he said. The comedian would therefore have stopped all consumption, whether alcohol or drugs, and this is a big step for him.
“A small victory in an ocean of disasters”continues François Rollin. Aware of the harm he caused, Pierre Palmade therefore decided that this accident was going to be the last.

Pierre Palmade would never have forgotten the victims of that day, as François Rollin indicated. “Always this injured child and the dead child in his mother's womb, it will haunt him until the end of his days,” he assures. If the comedian manages to move forward, it is in particular because he wants to redeem himself. “Because he has the crazy desire to try to ask for forgiveness, to be forgiven, to make amends.” According to François Rollin, the comedian would have a lot of trouble moving forward but it is the only objective of his daily life. “That’s what keeps him standing, the hope of being able to repair, even a little.” , he concluded.

Yuksel: a victim with numerous physical aftereffects

On February 10, 2023, Yuksel was driving his car when he had a terrible accident with Pierre Palmade. A date that he will never forget, especially since he now has many physical and psychological after-effects. He lost all feeling in three of his fingers and walking became very difficult for him, partly because of plates inserted into his legs. “They cause me a lot of pain. Even to wash myself or simply move around, I have to ask my loved ones for help.” continues Yuksel Yakut. The same goes for his son, who is today going through a real ordeal.

Devrim, aged eleven, had to repeat his year of CE1.
His teachers speak of “recurrent panic attacks and an inability to concentrate”. The little boy is at his worst, just like his father who wonders what future is possible for him. “He made our lives hell. I want him to pay for what he did,” he concluded. As a reminder, Pierre Palmade faces up to 14 years in prison and a fine of 200,000 euros. Far from the media coverage, he would have resumed writing under a pseudonym for other comedians.
