At the counter of P'tit Caillou, the lively bar on rue Saint-Philibert de Névez, all you have to do is mention the video of Quentin Sellin and comedian Guillaume Genou to bring a smile to the customers' faces. “I came across this by chance on Facebook. I had a good laugh before realizing that I knew the place,” says a regular.
For a minute, the duo humorously presents Stéphane, this “passionate about alcohol, games and tobacco” behind the creation of a PMU bar, part of which is donated to the Française des jeux (FDJ), ironically presented as “a small association”.
“You should see the bloopers!” »
And the video was a hit on social networks, TikTok and Instagram in the lead. On Wednesday October 30, it already had more than ten million cumulative views between platforms. “The video did well and people talked to me about it for a few days. And we really had a good laugh, you should see the bloopers! », laughs Stéphane Brébant, the owner of P'tit Caillou.
A few days earlier, Quentin Sellin and Guillaume Genou had already created a buzz with a sketch filmed at the Névez media library. In this video, the two actors take their audience into a world where books have replaced alcohol, and get drunk with Max and Lili and Harlan Coben.
“Very proud for the actors”
The idea of filming again in Névez had been floating around in Quentin Sellin's head for a while, around ten years after his web series “Ronny, Guardian of the Night”. At the time, the director had already solicited the acting talents of Stéphane Brébant. “He had a blast and we kept in touch. For this sketch in his bar, it was Stéphane who found the actors for me. People said yes straight away,” says Quentin Sellin.
And other videos filmed in the region, notably one at Aven Parc where the Névézien director works in the summer, could see the light of day in the coming weeks. “I am very proud that the videos worked, both for me and for the actors. I make videos for these moments,” he rejoices, adding that he is open to ideas for his next creations in the area.
Two films at the start of the year
In addition to these sketches, the 30-year-old Finistère continues to make his place on the big screen. In recent years, he has notably appeared on the poster of the film “Alibi.com 2”, in the trailer for the Olympic Games or shared the scene of an advertisement with Daniel Craig. He also plays a role in the next film by Fabrice Éboué, and will appear alongside Omar Sy in “Histoire d'un mariage” by Anne Le Ny, which is scheduled for release at the beginning of 2025. But Quentin Sellin assures him: “We laugh more with Stéphane than with Daniel Craig. »
