Director Guy Ritchie (Snatch, The Gentlemen, Sherlock Holmes) added new names to the cast of its mafia series The Associateand that promises.

While he is currently working on the project Young Sherlock with Colin Firth, and which he already has in the pipeline In the Grey (an adventure film starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Henry Cavill and Eiza González, scheduled for January 2025) and Fountain of Youth (with John Krasinski and Natalie Portman), Guy Ritchie is also working on his series The Associate on Paramount+. The casting is revealed, and it’s heavy.

The series The Associate will be carried by three renowned actors: Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.
In an article from October 9, 2024, Deadline reports that in this project, Tom Hardy will play Harrythe protagonist. Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan will respectively play the roles of the matriarch and patriarch of a family of “fixers”, i.e. a band of mafia characters capable of anything to achieve their endsfrom fraud to blackmail, including other joyful and criminally reprehensible activities.
The synopsis of the series doesn’t say much more.
“Featuring Europe’s most powerful clients, the series will see family fortunes and reputations threatened, strange alliances forming and betrayals occurring around every corner. Although the family may be London’s elite fixers today, the nature of their business means there is no guarantee of what tomorrow will bring. »
This will be the second collaboration between Tom Hardy and Guy Ritchie, having worked together on Rock’n’Rollawhile it will be a first for Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren.
Guy Ritchie will direct and will also be involved as executive producer alongside screenwriter Ronan Bennett.
Initially, The Associate was initially conceived as a spin-off of the series Ray Donovanbefore taking a completely different direction.
The series The Associate should be broadcast from fall 2025 on Paramount+.
