The escalators at Guillemins station are breaking down more and more regularly. We highlighted this in mid-November following an electrical outage which also affected other systems.
Currently, around ten escalators are broken, as is the elevator on platforms 6 and 7. And half of the conveyor belts are blocked. This is the observation made by RTBF. And this obviously poses a problem for PRMs and children’s strollers.
SNCB, which is working to resolve the problem, indicates that the external company responsible for maintaining these devices is currently encountering difficulties. Worn parts need to be replaced.
