Violent shock in Lausanne: car damaged in the parking lot

“When I arrived in the parking lot, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The entire front of the car was destroyed, the airbags had blown and there was debris everywhere. The shock must have been terribly violent,” says a young Vaudoise. The latter went to the Montchoisi clinic this Tuesday and it was while going to collect her vehicle from the parking lot that she discovered the scene described. The accident had occurred a few minutes earlier, around 2 p.m.

The young woman was, however, warned. “An announcement was made in the waiting room, but above all to reassure patients, no other car having been affected. That said, I was still shocked when I saw the damage. I don’t understand how you can gain enough speed in a parking lot to hit so hard,” our witness continues.

Lausanne police confirm the accident. “A woman, driving her vehicle, ended up in the wall of the underground parking lot of the Montchoisi clinic. An investigation is underway to determine the exact causes of the accident. However, the motorist is the only one involved, no other vehicle being involved.” The driver and her passenger were taken by an ambulance for checks. “We were able to talk to them, and they are nothing serious. On the other hand, the material damage is significant,” comments the police.
