Big hassle on the train network this morning in Normandy. The SNCF announces delays on many lines at the start of the day on Wednesday January 15, 2025.
The cause: “A power supply fault”, announces the railway company on its social networks. This problem occurred in the Epône-Mezières sector, shortly after 6 a.m.
The disruption is concentrated between Mantes-la-Jolie and Epône-Mezières in both directions of traffic.
Delays of around 30 minutes
Most stations in Normandy are affected. As for the Paris-Rouen-Le Havre axis, delays are estimated about 30 minutes on most trains.
To avoid the sector affected by the power supply failure, “certain trains are diverted by an alternative route. This diversion causes an additional delay for the trains concerned,” add the SNCF services.
Normal traffic resumption time is estimated at 8:40 a.m. SNCF technicians are currently working to carry out the necessary repairs.
