They had not arranged to meet in front of the fast-food to go eat a hamburger. The meeting between the two individuals had been scheduled as part of the delivery of a large quantity of cannabis.
Thursday January 2, 2025, it was 9:50 p.m. when two individuals met in the parking lot of the Burger King on Boulevard des Aviateurs Alliés, in Éragny-sur-Oise (Val-d’Oise). There, they exchange a few words before one of them hands over a sports bag to his sidekick who leaves the scene on foot.
Spotted by the Bac police
The scene lasted only a few seconds, but it played out before the eyes of police officers from a crew of the Anti-crime brigade (Bac) who was passing by, without the two suspects noticing them.
-Discreetly, one of the officials gets out of the unmarked vehicle and follows at a distance the individual who left with the bag. He then sees that he gets into a car parked a little further away and drives off. The Bac agent immediately joined his colleagues who began chasing the vehicle and quickly intercepted it.
More than 5 kg of cannabis herb
By checking the motorist, the police felt a strong smell of cannabis emanating from the car. The search of the latter, carried out a few moments later in the presence of a judicial police officer, allowed the discovery of more than 5 kg of grass.
Arrested and placed in police custody, the alleged trafficker was brought to appear immediately before the Pontoise criminal court forpossession and transport of narcotics. He was sentenced to eighteen months in prison, ten months of which were suspended.
