Through this operation, the household appliances company is enriching its “portfolio of exceptional products, intended for professionals and gastronomy enthusiasts”.
The Seb household appliances group announced on Wednesday that it had purchased the company La Brigade de Buyer, specializing in high-end kitchen utensils intended for professionals, for an undisclosed amount. “The acquisition of La Brigade de Buyer is part of our ambition to strengthen our leadership in the professional and premium segments”declared the president of Seb, Thierry de La Tour d’Artaise, quoted in the press release. The Buyer Brigade achieved in 2024 “a total turnover of 66 million euros” and hires 290 employees on three production sites, the press release also indicates. The amount of the transaction was not communicated.
The group notably markets Buyer utensils, a company founded in 1830 in the Vosges and which sells cookware, mandolins or pressure pistons, mainly for professionals. The Rousselon Dumas-Sabatier knives produced in Thiers (Puy-de-Dôme) are also part of the acquisition, as is the small manufacturer Scaritech, intended for bakeries and pastries. These brands “represent French excellence and enrich our portfolio of exceptional products, intended for professionals and lovers of gastronomy”rejoiced Thierry from La Tour d’Artaise.
