Faced with the scale of the housing crisis, the minister is calling for measures in favor of individual homes. She also defends the obligations weighing on energy sieves.
This is a new obligation which has created a stir among owners throughout France. Since 1is January 2025, housing which is classified G, according to the energy performance diagnosis (DPE), is prohibited for rental. 755,000 main residences – out of a total of 30 million in France – are affected, affirms Figaro Valérie Létard, Minister responsible for Housing, who is delighted that, « according to ONRE (National Observatory for Energy Renovation), around 1 million thermal strainers were renovated between 2022 and 2024, all aid combined ».
This close friend of Jean-Louis Borloo insists, these renovations give tenants more purchasing power: « Housing classified G consumes three times more energy than housing C, i.e. a bill increased by 5,000 euros per year for a 55 m², provided that the tenant is heated. » As for the owners, she believes that they are supported…
