the essential
The Zonta Club of Ramonville is organizing its twelfth solidarity musical event on January 21 at the Halle aux Grains in Toulouse. The funds raised will support women victims of violence.
A non-governmental organization of international scope, the Zonta club works for a world where gender equality is not just a utopia. Its action defends the fundamental rights of women, promotes their access to decision-making positions and promotes a daily life without violence. The funds raised thanks to the voluntary commitment of musicians who came to play in Toulouse for the Zonta club of Ramonville will support women in distress. Zonta particularly supports the “Espoir 31” association for the creation of a day center dedicated to homeless women and children.
A united orchestra
Led by David Minetti, professional clarinetist at the Orchester National du Capitole de Toulouse, the OHQF ensemble (Orchestre d’Harmonie de Quint-Fonsegrives) will offer a Hip-Hop Harmonik evening with 100 singers. Very involved in local cultural life, the OHQF hosts charity ceremonies and concerts. In January 2024, he had already played at the Halle aux Grains alongside student choirs and the Millischer trombone quartet, a show which made it possible to finance a solidarity grocery store for Toulouse students and to support precarious beneficiaries. Zonta also collaborates with the “Previos” network (Violence prevention and health guidance) and supports care pathways within the Maison des femmes Toulouse Occitanie Ouest, a structure recently inaugurated in December 2024.
The organizers warmly thank the mayors of Ramonville and Toulouse, the OHQF and the public, whose presence will strengthen this noble cause.
