The Vaud police intervened on Monday around 11:10 p.m. for a case of robbery at the McDonald’s in Gland. According to initial information, an individual threatened the employee at the cash register with a knife and fled with a sum of money. A suspect was arrested near the scene of the crime.
The victim was shocked, but was not injured, the cantonal police said on Tuesday, returning to information from the daily “The side”. The Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed and the duty prosecutor opened a criminal investigation.
An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances and causes of this robbery. The police point out that the arrested individual benefits at this stage from the presumption of innocence.
