With the end-of-year holidays just over, Forem surveyed large companies active in Wallonia to find out their recruitment needs for the next 12 months. In 2025, 120 of them have already planned to recruit 11,002 new employees, they indicated.
If all sectors will be looking for qualified labor, the security, tourism and transport and logistics sectors already show significant needs for 2025. This observation can be explained both by the trends that the job market has been experiencing for several months and by the shortages affecting these sectors: transport and logistics (10 professions), tourism (8 professions) and security (1 profession).
In order to support companies looking for workers, Forem will organize nearly 21 job days throughout Wallonia at the start of the year. The opportunity for job seekers to go directly to meet recruiting companies.
In terms of training, more than 700 information sessions are already planned in 2025 in order to inform and raise awareness among job seekers of the training that Forem will organize during this year.
