It had snowed well in the resorts before Christmas, since then we have enjoyed the sun and now the snow should fall again to ski in better conditions.
A disturbance will affect the Southern Alps this evening from Thursday to Friday. We may have some snowfall, between 5 and 10 cm, especially above 1500 m. But at the start of the week temperatures are likely to rise and it could be rain which will fall in quite a few resorts.
In the meantime, we are enjoying a sunny weekend with 40 cm of snow at the foot of the slopes of Sainte Anne la condamine, Risoul and Crévoux.
And beautiful conditions at the summits. 70 cm of snow near Réallon, Chaillol and La Foux d'Allos.
Activities to do with the family in the resorts of the Alpes de Haute Provence
On January 11 and 12, it's children's weekend in the resorts of the Vallée de la Blanche, these are the resorts of St Jean Montclar, Chabanon and the Nordic site of Fanget. Since unfortunately the Grand Puy resort closed this winter.
Ski passes which will be offered to children under 12 years old. There will also be activities for children, such as an introduction to biathlon, that's near the Col du Fanget.
And then, the following weekend, January 18 and 19, we can take a trip to Sauze. With challenges to complete as a family, or exploring animal tracks in the snow, we will also be able to understand everything about the different snowflakes. You should know that there are 121 different types.
Finally on Sunday it will be a snowshoe/raclette course. So it starts with snowshoeing in the snow and ends with a good raclette with Ubaye cheeses. A priori, a rather interesting concept!
