AIVAM kicks off the sixth edition of “Car of the Year 2025”. With 30 vehicles in competition, this event, which has become unmissable, highlights the excellence and innovation of the automotive sector, while offering an overview of tomorrow’s trends.
The Association of Motor Vehicle Importers in Morocco (AIVAM) is launching the sixth edition of the Car of the Year (COTY) 2025 event. After the success of the fifth edition, this automobile meeting has firmly established itself as a flagship event celebrating innovation and excellence in the automotive sector in the Kingdom.
A jury of specialists for an informed choice
This edition will see a prestigious panel of journalists and automotive experts come together to elect the car of the year 2025. The jury, made up of 14 members, will be chaired by Hatim Bouazer (Leguideauto.ma). At his side, we find Jalil Bennani (Driverslife.ma), Moulay Ahmed Belghiti editor-in-chief of Inspirations ECO, or even Khadija Dinia (Myluxurylife.ma) and Mehdi Laaboudi (Maxmag.ma). Their mission? Rigorously test and evaluate the competing vehicles in order to crown the model that will embody innovation, performance and user experience for the year to come.
30 vehicles in competition
For this edition, 30 models from major brands will compete for the prestigious title. Among them, essential references such as the BMW 1 Series, the Renault Austral, the Volkswagen Tiguan, or even innovative models like the Volvo EX30 and the BYD SEAL U. The competition promises to be fierce with a diversity that reflects new trends of the automotive market, notably electrification, embedded technology and design.
Rigorous testing for an impartial selection
The static and dynamic tests will take place on January 9 and 10, 2025. This decisive stage will allow the jury to preselect 7 vehicles from the 30 candidates. These will then be subjected to in-depth dynamic tests, carried out according to precise criteria guaranteeing impartiality and transparency. The results will be announced in January 2025, revealing the car that will have won over with its performance, design and innovation.
A celebration of automotive excellence
Led by AIVAM and supported by major partners such as Afriquia, Eqdom, Salafin, Sofac, Vivalis and Wafasalaf, this sixth edition once again confirms the association’s commitment to promoting the automotive sector in Morocco. . More than just a competition, Car of the Year has become a unifying event that celebrates the know-how of manufacturers and the constant evolution of the automobile industry.
With this 2025 edition, AIVAM and its partners reaffirm their ambition to position Morocco as a key player in the automobile industry in Africa, while offering the Moroccan public an overview of the innovations that will shape the mobility of tomorrow.
