Ryad Mezzour chairs the Board of Directors of Arts et Métiers Rabat campus

The 5th Board of Directors of the School Arts et Métiers Rabat campus was held on December 16, 2024, at the school’s headquarters, under the chairmanship of Mr. Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Commerce , and in the presence in particular of Mr. Laurent Champaney, General Director of Arts et Métiers ParisTech, and Mr. Mohamed Khalfaoui, Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation and board members.

The result of a partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Arts et Métiers in , the school was born from the desire to support the rise of businesses in Morocco through the training of engineers and frameworks of excellence serving national and continental industrial needs and through the development of research and innovation actions. The objective is to make the school a flagship of higher education in Morocco and a true technological hub for Africa.

The establishment, opened in September 2023, offers students the possibility of following either the engineering diploma, the Grande Ecole Arts et Métiers Program, or the Bachelor of Technologies for the Industry of the Future delivered by Arts et Métiers at the same time than the professional license.

After the accreditation of the training programs as well as the integration of the first classes of engineering and Bachelor’s students, in 2023, the 2024 academic year was marked by the opening of the dedicated building with an area of ​​12,000 m² at within the UM6P at Technopolis Salé, the expansion of the management and teacher-researcher workforce, the obtaining of Arts et Métiers ParisTech from the favorable opinion of the Commission for Engineering Qualifications (CTI) for the delivery of the PGE engineering diploma at Arts et Métiers campus in Rabat, as well as recognition by the Moroccan State. Two new classes, engineering students and License/Bachelor of technologies for the industry of the future, began their training in September.

The prospects for 2025 include the expansion of enrollment to reach 190 students, the development of cutting-edge technological platforms in particular the Evolutive Learning Factory and the intensification of partnerships with industrial players, positioning the School as a key player in Research & Innovation and industry.

Furthermore, the Minister paid a visit to the school premises where he was able to inquire about the innovative pedagogy and the cutting-edge technical systems put in place to ensure high-level training in line with developments. of the needs of the national industry and with the new trends and requirements of the industry at the international level.

The Minister also had multiple exchanges with the students of the school during which he reminded them that Morocco relies heavily on its talents which are the spearhead for building an efficient and prosperous national economy.
