A Belgian biopharmaceutical company launches a recruitment campaign for 154 positions. Tailor-made training, in collaboration with Forem, will allow successful candidates to access a permanent contract.
The Belgian biopharmaceutical company UCB is joining forces with Forem to train biomanufacturing technicians as part of its “Shortage Punch” program.
This initiative aims to meet the demand for this specific profession, crucial in pharmaceutical production. Selected candidates will undergo an intensive 18-week training course, which will begin in January.
The training will begin with nine weeks of theoretical and practical courses given in the Aptaskil centers in Seneffe and Culture in vivo in Nivelles. It will continue with nine weeks of internship within the UCB facilities in Braine-l’Alleud. Ultimately, at least 80% of participants who successfully complete the program will be offered a permanent contract.
Recruitment for two sites in Belgium
In total, UCB plans to hire 120 people for its Braine-l’Alleud campus and 34 employees for its Anderlecht site.
The company, specializing in therapeutic solutions for severe illnesses, is looking for varied profiles, with a particular emphasis on biomanufacturing technicians.
To apply, candidates must hold a CESS (Higher Secondary Education Certificate) and have knowledge of automated systems.
They must also demonstrate team spirit, flexibility for work schedules with breaks, as well as an ability to adapt to emergencies.
How to apply?
Applicants can register for an online information session which will take place on December 23.
They also have the possibility to apply directly via the Forem website until December 31. After analyzing the applications, the selected profiles will be invited to participate in the selection process at UCB.
UCB, which employs around 9,000 employees internationally, is continuing its expansion in Belgium with this new production unit.
