After the success of previous editions, theAssociation of Vehicle Importers in Morocco (AIVAM) is preparing to inaugurate the sixth edition of the Car Of The Year Morocco (COTY 2025), a now unmissable automobile event in Morocco. This year, 30 models will compete to win the prestigious title, with a reveal planned for January 2025.

The COTY Morocco has established itself as a major platform celebrating automotive excellence in the Kingdom. The fifth edition, which crowned the Renault Arkana in 2024, had already highlighted the professionalism of the jury and the enthusiasm of the participants. The 2025 edition promises to maintain this dynamic, with a constant objective: to offer an impartial and transparent evaluation of the competing models.

The organizing committee unveiled the list of 30 eligible models, illustrating the diversity of the Moroccan automobile market. The selected vehicles are: the Alfa Romeo Junior, the BMW 1 Series, the Changan Uni-K, the Dacia Jogger, the Great Wall Ora, the Jeep Avenger, the Mini Cooper 3 doors, the Peugeot 3008, the Renault Kangoo, the Skoda Kodiaq, the Audi A1, BYD Seal U, Cupra Ateca, Great Wall Haval Jolion HEV, Hyundai Kona, Kia Picanto, Mini Cooper 5 doors, Renault Austral, Renault Kardian, Volkswagen Tiguan, BMW X2, Changan CS 55 Plus, Cupra Leon, Great Wall Haval H6 HEV, Hyundai Accent, Mini Countryman, Nissan X-Trail, Renault Mégane E-Tech, the Skoda Fabia and the Volvo EX30.

The jury for the 2025 edition brings together 14 journalists and experts specializing in automobiles. It is made up of Hatim Bouazer (Leguideauto.ma), president of the Jury, Nabil Sbai Tanji (I want to buy a car!), Jalil Bennani (Driverslife.ma), Essam Chraibi (wandaloo.com), David Jeremie (Challenge-Tomobile 360), Mourad Khezzari (Gentlemen Driver), Moulay Ahmed Belghiti (Les Écos), Jérémy Moretti (Expert UTAC), Khadija Dinia (Myluxurylife.ma), Hatim Kaghat (Automobile expert), Mohamed Akisra (Drive In), Haytam Boussaid (Le Matin), Leila Benjelloun ( du Maroc) and Mehdi Laaboudi (Maxmag.ma).

The static and dynamic tests of the nominated vehicles will take place on January 9 and 10, 2025. These two intense days will allow the jury to evaluate the 30 models on strict criteria set out in the internal regulations, before restricting the competition to a final group of seven vehicles. These will then be subjected to more in-depth tests, at the end of which the winner will be chosen.

AIVAM can count on the support of institutional partners such as Afriquia, Sofac and Wafasalaf, who actively participate in the sustainability of this event.
