Chiara Tamburlini (25 years old) won the Order of Merit of the Ladies European Tour this year. The St. Galloise became the first Swiss woman to achieve this feat.
Since her professional debut in August 2023, she has gained more than 1,000 places in the world rankings to now be in the top-70. “I experienced a surreal season“, she summarizes. In addition to her final success on the Ladies European Tour, she was also elected “rookie of the year” and designated “player of the year” by her colleagues. “My expectations at the start of the year were not particularly high. I wanted to make sure I got the card for the Tour. A first victory
The St. Galloise achieved her first success in her 8th tournament, winning in Johannesburg with a 7-shot lead, which allowed her to climb into the top-200 of the world rankings.
In the fall, Chiara Tamburlini followed up with 2 other victories, in France and Taiwan. This allowed him to secure first place on the order of merit even before the end of the season. In 24 tournaments, she has collected prize money of just over 440,000 euros. In addition to her successes, she has placed in the top-10 seven times.
