The results of the latest EuroNCAP safety tests reveal a true revolution in the automotive industry. Chinese manufacturers, long considered secondary players, now demonstrate impressive technical mastery in passive and active safety. The four models tested all received the maximum score of 5 starsoverturning preconceived ideas about the quality of vehicles made in China.
An exceptional performance for Chinese manufacturers
The Volvo EX30, assembled in China under the direction of the group Geelysets new standards with remarkable scores: 88% for the protection of adults and 85% for that of children. The platform shared with the Zeekr 001 and the Smart #3 proves its robustness with a score of 79% for the protection of vulnerable users.

Innovation and security: the Deepal S07 redefines standards
The Deepal S07 electric SUV, the result of a collaboration between Changan, CATL et Huaweiimpresses with its results. It achieves the highest score ever recorded for adult occupant protection with 95%. Child safety is not left out with 87%while the assistance systems reach 77%.
Leapmotor C10: confirmation of technical expertise
The Leapmotor C10 confirms Chinese technical excellence with solid results across all criteria tested. The SUV reaches 89% for the protection of adults and 85% for that of children. Driver assistance systems get 76%illustrating the mastery of active safety technologies.
The impact on the European market
These exceptional results come in a tense context, when Brussels is worried about the rise of Chinese manufacturers. The European Union is also considering an increase in customs duties to protect its industry. Faced with these trade barriers, some manufacturers, such as Volvo, plan to relocate their production to Europe – the EX30 will soon be assembled in Belgium.
These crash test performances demonstrate that Chinese manufacturers have perfectly mastered European safety requirements. The design and manufacturing quality of these electric vehicles now rivals the best international standards, forcing European industry to redouble its efforts to maintain its historic leadership.
