Presented shortly before the last Paris Motor Show where it had its first crowd bath, the Dacia Bigster topping the range will arrive on the market in Western Europe in the second quarter of 2025. The large SUV measuring 4.57 m long will have a global career through multiple Renault Group labels and with certain subtleties. The Renault badged variants will not necessarily have the same snout.
7 places in India, but 5 places elsewhere
We told you about it at the end of November, two versions, badged Renault and Nissan, will be on the program in India. They will both be assembled in the Chennai factory with, there, 7 seats on board, an arrangement which will be the prerogative of the subcontinent.
Dacia Bigster: these 2 other versions badged Renault and Nissan will have something extra
If the Renault variant will be content with a subtly retouched grille with simple Renault lettering written in full – like that of the Renault Duster manufactured in Turkey and which will be offered locally and in Eastern Europe – on the other hand, that planned at Nissan will benefit from a specific muzzle characterized by a front mask close to that of the 2025 vintage Kicks. The sides and the stern will remain in common trunk with no major modification. The only lever will be the graphic of the medallion installed on the front door at the edge of the wing.
A Bigster with the look of Niagara in Brazil
In Latin America, the “Bigster” will be sold in the Renault range where it will play the role of the Kardian’s big brother. But he will not cultivate the resemblance with the latter. No, it will have a particular appearance, taking up the aesthetic theme in the spirit of that of the prototype of the Renault Niagara pick-up, the production version of which is approaching.
An imposing grille, characterized by lighting on two floors, an identity which will subsequently be shared by the coupe version of the Bigster, a silhouette very popular in these regions. The Fiat Fastback bears witness to this. This South American “Bigster” will be assembled in the Renault factory in Curitiba created in 1998 which already produces no less than 7 models: Master, Duster 2, Oroch (Duster in pick-up version), Logan 2, Captur long, Sandero 2 and Kwid.
