The decree comes into force the day after its publication, i.e. Monday, December 2.
Ecological bonus:
The amounts of the ecological bonus are reduced as follows: €4,000 for the most modest households (less than or equal to €16,300 of reference tax income per share and per year), €3,000 for households with the RFR per share is greater than 16,300 and less than or equal to €26,200, €2,000 for the wealthiest (RFR per share greater than 26 200 euros).
Removal of the ecological bonus for:
· electric LCVs, whether intended for individuals or legal entities;
· motorized two/three wheels, motorized quadricycles and cycles
Conversion bonus:
– Removal of the entire conversion bonus system, for all vehicles.
Points of vigilance:
– Transition period: When they are more advantageous, the provisions of articles D. 251-1 to D. 251-13 of the energy code in their wording prior to articles 1 and 2 of this decree remain applicable to vehicles which have not previously been the subject of a first registration in France or abroad, ordered or for which the rental contract has been signed before the date of entry into force of this decree, as well as in cycles, provided that their invoicing or payment of the first rent takes place no later than February 14, 2025. Warning point for automobile distributors who will therefore have to invoice vehicles before February 14, 2025 to benefit from the old scale.
– Closed envelope device: As soon as the strict budgetary appropriations allocated for 2025 expire – i.e. 690 million euros – vehicles and households will lose their eligibility for aid schemes. The precise modalities (discontinuation of the system or revision of the scales during the year) remain to be defined. MOBILIANS remains particularly mobilized on this point which is obviously of great importance.

Modification of the conditions, amounts, and reference income for passenger cars, vans, motorized quadricycles. More details in Member Information.
