He continued: “The development of partnerships and the creation of significant synergies with the private sector should, in fact, allow in the future to breathe new life into the socio-economic and tourist development of the region.” The manager states that the “partnership with HB Holding NV will create an exemplary, modern and environmentally friendly project with significant benefits for the province of Nador and the entire region. For their part, Henri Broen, CEO, and Solayman Bouharrou, partner at HB Holding, state: “Our expertise in real estate and tourism development, combined with Marchica Med’s vision of sustainable development, will allow us to carry out a project that meets the desired and required quality standards for the development of the Marchica lagoon and which will be a reference in responsible tourism and sustainable development across the Kingdom of Morocco and Nador in particular.”
In detail, the project provides for the construction of high-quality infrastructure in front of the existing marina, including a 4-star hotel with around 130 keys, residences and premium villas, as well as landscaping respecting the principles of sustainability and preservation of the local ecosystem. This project aims, in fact, to create around a hundred long-term employment positions and thus constitutes an opportunity to promote the socio-economic development of the entire region.
Note that the city of Atalayoun, first born from the pearls of Marchica, is a residential and tourist resort spanning 154 hectares and offering a unique environment located between sea and land on the lagoon peninsula of the same name .
