Durbuy: Marc Coucke and the Maerten family part on good terms

Marc Coucke’s investment company has just announced in a press release that LPM Holding, which includes Adventure Valley, Le Sanglier des Ardennes and Durbuy Golf Resorts, and LPM Events, manager of children’s camps and green classes, are now going their separate ways.

Marc Coucke, via his investment company Alychlo, will now hold almost all of the shares in LPM Holding while the Maerten family will concentrate on LPM Events alone.Alychlo takes over all the shares of the Maerten family in LPM Holding. Chef Wout Bru, who plays a crucial role in the growth of this holding, will remain involved as a shareholder,” the investment company said.

For his part, “The Maerten family acquires 100% of the shares of LPM Events and 100% of the shares of Durbuy Music”.

Marc Coucke, Bart Maerten and chef Wout Bru have been investing together since 2016 in Durbuy, in the province of Luxembourg.

Although their paths separate, they say they will remain united to continue the development of the small town. They want to continue to put Durbuy on the map as a top destination”assure Alychlo.

The mayor of Durbuy, Philippe Bontemps, was informed of this separation this Monday morning. “This is a commercial agreement between two private individuals”he specifies. Everyone is taking their marbles back. This agreement, internally, will not, in my opinion, have any impact on the activities offered by the two groups in the commune of Durbuy”

Philippe Bontemps adds that the children’s camps and green classes, grouped today under the LPM Events banner, were historically managed by the Maerten family, before the arrival of Marc Coucke in the smallest city in the world.
