Several key results were announced at the end of the dialogue. The two sides will launch provincial-level cooperation on green transition and establish a working group on carbon reduction in industry.

The two countries will also collaborate on demonstration projects aimed at improving energy efficiency in key sectors, according to a statement issued by China’s National Development and Reform Commission.

China is ready to strengthen cooperation with Germany on energy efficiency, circular economy, industrial carbon reduction and energy transition during the dialogue.

Germany is willing to explore greater collaboration with China in areas such as renewable energy, smart grid development and production of carbon-free or low-carbon products, the statement said.
