TV5MONDE partners with Orange in the DRC to promote the TV5MONDEplus platform

From this Monday, June 24, 2024, Orange Democratic Republic of Congo will make “TV5MONDEplus” internet packages available to its subscribers. These more generous dedicated packages will allow Orange subscribers to access all the content of the TV5Mondeplus VOD (Video On Demand) platform (films, series, documentaries, music, etc.)

This partnership between TV5MONDE and Orange RDC marks the French-speaking channel’s desire to partner with local operators in sub-Saharan Africa to facilitate their access to premium content. In addition, the user experience has been optimized to offer as little latency as possible when playing video streams.

For Orange RDC, this partnership is tangible proof of the commitments made to its subscribers through its new signature “Orange is here”. Indeed, thanks to this unique and exclusive package in the DRC, Orange reaffirms its positioning as a trusted player, present for its subscribers at every stage of their journey and in all circumstances.

On TV5MONDEplus, the DRC represents the leading country in terms of audience in sub-Saharan Africa. This association between TV5MONDE and Orange RDC will increase Congolese interest in the platform’s content.

The official signing of this partnership took place today in Kinshasa in the presence of Mr Ben Cheick Haidara, General Director of Orange DRC, and David Gueye, Deputy Director of digital and innovation at TV5MONDE. Mr Haidara said to himself “ extremely proud to be able to offer, through this package, affordable access to quality content to the 14 million customers who trust us every day “.

The details of the packages offered by Orange are as follows:

  • 1 GB at $0.5 valid for 24 hours
