Among the three most popular cars in Canada, we highlight the presence of the Honda Civic in second place with 7,898 units sold, only 81 units less than the Corolla, and the Tesla Model 3 which occupies third place with 5,574 units sold. It is also the only electric model in the top 10 of the best-selling cars in the country. Market shares for traditional cars continue to slide, posting a 10.2% drop in sales this quarter compared to last year’s figures.

As for light trucks, Ford’s F Series, which includes both the F-150 and the larger so-called “heavy-duty” models, remains at the top of the ranking with 39,702 units sold. This is far ahead of the Toyota RAV4 which occupies second position (21,719) and GMC’s direct competitor, the Sierra pickup truck (16,233). The category, which basically includes everything that is raised, is still experiencing happy days with an increase in total sales of 6.6% compared to the same period of 2023. Interestingly, it is the minivan segment which displays the strongest sales growth during the quarter with a gain of 24.3% compared to 2023.
