Every year, many of us choose our vacations based on public holidays to optimize the number of days off to take. It’s a real strategy put in place. If we are slowly approaching the end of summer 2024, it is wise to already think about your leave for 2025. The sooner you request it, the more likely you are that it will be accepted. That’s why we’ve calculated and planned everything for you below!
How to get 66 days off in 2025 easily
To start, here are the public holidays planned for next year:
New Year: Wednesday January 1, 2025
Easter Monday: Monday April 21, 2025
Labor Day: Thursday May 1, 2025
Ascension: Thursday May 29, 2025
Pentecost Monday: Monday June 9, 2025
National holiday: Monday July 21, 2025
Assumption: Friday August 15, 2025
All Saints’ Day: Saturday November 1, 2025
Armistice 1918: Tuesday November 11, 2025
Christmas: Thursday December 25, 2025.
To optimize your leaveyou obviously have to take them around public holidays. So we start with 1is January: add two days on Thursday 2 and Friday 3, this will make you a long weekend of 5 days.
Arriving at Easter, you can take 9 days off between Tuesday April 22, 2025 and Friday May 2, 2025 inclusive to benefit from 16 days of rest (including Easter Monday and weekends).
This day of the week is the best to take time off and really rest
You can then take Friday May 30: that also gives you 4 days saved. You can also take 4 days the week of Whit Monday on June 9, to have 9 days off (counting the weekends before and after).
By taking 2 days, Tuesday July 22, 2025 and Wednesday July 23, 2025, you will enjoy a 5-day long weekend (including the weekend). Same in August taking Wednesday August 13, 2025 and Thursday August 14, 2025.
You can then take leave from Monday November 10, 2025 to Friday November 14, 2025 inclusive to benefit from 9 days of rest, the same in December: take 4 days from Monday December 22, 2025 to Friday December 26, 2025 inclusive.
You will therefore have a total of 57 days of leave while only having to take 25.
