The French ETI, a historic player in the oil sector, is increasing its projects for new factories operating in the field of energy transition.

This was one of the major announcements of the Choose France summit. The creation of a factory for active cathode materials, used in the manufacture of batteries for electric vehicles. The investment amounts to 600 million euros. This major project is carried out by a joint venture between the French Axens and the Chinese Lico. Our partner, already an operator in China, will transfer technology to produce these advanced cathode materials, rejoices Quentin Debuisschert, general manager of Axens. We plan to build a factory which will be operational in 2027 in Hauts-de-France »that is to say near the hexagonal battery factories.
