It was a report to NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) which allowed the investigators of the case to trace the individual. There were 453 files in five reports that were denounced, but the search which took place in April 2023 at the accused’s home revealed many more files scattered across several electronic devices.

According to the summary of the facts presented to the court, the individual would have had 32,571 files in his possession in addition to having access to several thousand others involving young girls between 3 months and 14 years old. Police also found methamphetamines, brass knuckles and an electric shock weapon.

Prohibited drugs and weapons

In addition to the child pornography charges, the accused pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamines and possession of prohibited weapons.

Samuel Denoncourt’s lawyer argued that his client had certain health and consumption problems, but that he had taken steps. He told the court that he was now sober, was on medication and wanted to seek therapy for a sexual issue.

The preparation of a pre-sentence and sexological report was ordered in order to inform the court in imposing the sentence. The case was postponed until March 19.
