At the end of the trading session on Friday, May 31, 2024, the market activities of the Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM) all recorded positive developments.

The value of transactions thus remained above one billion FCFA, standing at 1.465 billion FCFA compared to 1.018 billion FCFA the day before.

For its part, the market capitalization of the stock market recorded an increase of 101.511 billion, standing at 8,381.544 billion FCFA against 8,280.033 billion FCFA on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

That of the bond market is in the same dynamic, increasing from 10,293.099 billion FCFA the day before to 10,307.734 billion FCFA this Friday, May 31, 2024, an increase of 14.635 billion.

The three flagship indices have returned to an upward trend. This is how the BRVM Composite index gained 1.22% to 225.29 points against 222.57 points the day before.

As for the BRVM 30 index, it also recorded an increase of 1.14% to 112.82 points against 111.55 points previously.

The BRVM Prestige index is also up 1.12% to 105.75 points compared to 104.58 points the day before.

The Top 5 with the highest price increases are occupied respectively by the shares of Unilever Côte d’Ivoire (up 7.50% at 6,450 FCFA), BICI Côte d’Ivoire (up 7.50% at 8,605 FCFA), Oragroup. Togo (plus 6.51% at 1,800 FCFA), Vivo Energy Côte d’Ivoire (plus 5.44% at 775 FCFA) and Total Côte d’Ivoire (plus 4.25% at 2,085 FCFA).

The Flop 5 with the biggest price drops is occupied by the securities Bernabé Côte d’Ivoire (minus 7.14% at 975 FCFA), Uniwax Côte d’Ivoire (minus 6.25% at 375 FCFA), Total Sénégal (minus 2.22% at 2,200 FCFA), Sucrivoire Côte d’Ivoire (minus 1.96% at 500 FCFA) and SETAO Côte d’Ivoire (minus 1.27% at 780 FCFA).
