Artesia opens a second auction house in Paris

Artesia presents Saturday October 19 a beautiful sale of art objects from the 20e century and designer furniture. The auction house will have organized around thirty meetings, approximately one every two weeks, since its opening a year ago, rue Roffay-des-Pallus.

I have an associate in Paris [Me Florent Marles NDLR]. Artesia now has five employees, three in Châtellerault and two in Paris. »

“There was a real need in Vienna”

Specializing in art objects only (it does not take judicial sales), Artesia has made its mark and finally seems to demonstrate that there is room for a third auction house in the department, with Sabourin in Châtellerault and Boissinot-Tailliez in .

“There was a real need in . We offer a different vision by working as close as possible to the object. We have a network of experts who work for us. We highlight the pieces. With the study in the 16ewe also have a beautiful Parisian showcase. We remain a provincial study while offering the services of a study in Paris. We make sales in Drouot. We have very varied sales”explains Me Thiebault. Some valuable pieces can actually be traced back to the Hôtel Drouot.

Free estimates on Wednesday

Locally, sellers or estates come from “from the entire department and neighboring departments, Indre, Touraine…”according to the auctioneer. Artesia has also launched free estimation sessions, scheduled every Wednesday morning, which are, again, a real success, according to the person concerned. “Châtellerault is not gigantic but we are very well placed and the town has a wonderful history”he pleads.
