Andrew Left is what we call an extroverted investor, who does not hesitate to loudly denounce companies that he considers fraudulent or overvalued. The 54-year-old American bets on their decline, which makes him a short seller. And one of the best known, thanks to its Citron Research site and its frequent appearances in the Anglo-Saxon economic media. He now faces up to 25 years in prison.

The SEC, America’s financial watchdog, accused him in July of market manipulation and misleading investors by lying about his investments in multiple stocks, including Nvidia and Tesla. And to have pocketed 20 million in the process.
