In application of the provisions of article 14 of law n°20-13 relating to Competition Council as it was modified and supplemented, the Standing Committee of the Council held, on Monday September 30, 2024 at 9:00 a.m., a meeting under the chairmanship of Mr Ahmed RahhouPresident of the Competition Council, to examine the files submitted to him by the Council’s investigation services.
At the start of its work, the Standing Commission approved the minutes of its meeting held on September 23, 2024.
The Permanent Commission then took the decision to authorize the operation of economic concentration regarding the acquisition by the company « Honey From SA »leader in Morocco in the development and management of business parks, from the exclusive control of the company «Midparc SA» through the acquisition of the remaining 66% of its share capital and related voting rights.
Midparc is an industrial zone dedicated to the aeronautical industry sector and other related industries. The main installed companies are: Airbus, Spirit, Hexcel, Howmet, Thales, Eaton and recently the group Aciturri which inaugurated its new factory.
Med Z currently holds 34% of the shares, just like the French group Cenalwhile Moroccan society MA Spin owns 32%. Med Z must acquire the remaining 66% from these two companies to obtain exclusive control.
