He is the star of aperitifs. But watch out for those from the weekend, this Saturday October 5, 2024. Dry sausage sold in all Leclerc stores in has, since Friday 4, been the subject of a national recall.

According to the government website Rappel-congo.gouv.fr, this sausage contains salmonella. The bacteria responsible for Salmonellosis, a disease that can be serious.

The product in detail

In detail, Rappel-congo.gouv, mentions two batches of 200 g branded dry sausage Saint-Azaysold between September 2 and October 4, 2024: the 124242010 and the 124243026. The associated barcode is 3564700563878and the health mark is FR 63.427.001 CE.

The products display a minimum durability date set at 1is or December 8, 2024.

Presence of salmonella

The symptoms experienced by those who have consumed the product are gastrointestinal disorders such as diarrhea or vomiting. Which are often accompanied by fever.

They generally appear within 72 hours (maximum) after ingestion, and can be more pronounced in the youngest, the oldest, the immunocompromised and pregnant women.

“People who have consumed these products and who present these symptoms are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption,” logically writes Rappel-Conso.gouv.fr.

“In the absence of symptoms within 7 days after consuming the products concerned, there is no need to worry and consult a doctor,” the government body still reassures.

The latter still recommends returning the product to the point of sale, where a refund will be organized until Wednesday December 4, 2024.
