The truth always comes out eventually. The MAX streaming platform has just released a new trailer for “A Devoted Friend”, its first original French series. Viewers will find Laure Calamy in the role of Christelle, a woman who decides to pose as a victim of the terrorist attacks committed on November 13, 2015 at the Bataclan. A lie that she will push to the point of participating in the creation of an association of which she will become one of the key members.

Adapted from the investigative book by Alexandre Kauffmann – also co-creator of the series – “La Mythomane du Bataclan”, published by Éditions Goutte d’Or, the fiction will follow this false victim throughout her manipulation process, the way in which she will come into contact with victims of the attack by creating her own story, and how she will end up finding herself trapped in her lie, too attached to the idea of ​​being useful within the association that it helps to rise.

The first of four episodes of the mini-series “A Devoted Friend” will be available for streaming on Max, starting Friday, October 11.
