In Nantes, this Saturday, May 4, 2024, the first day of the Petite-Hollande market reduced by a fifth of its usual surface area due to construction sites: around thirty non-sedentary traders refuse the locations allocated by the city. Not enough, too small… Atmosphere.

It’s raining in Nantes. Nothing special. What is exceptional is that around thirty non-sedentary traders, the “passengers”, as they call themselves, from the Petite-Hollande market, refused to unpack in the 30 places that the City of Nantes allocated to them .

This Saturday, May 4, 2024 is in fact the first Saturday in a long series which should “last three or four years” according to Hervé Fournier, municipal councilor….
