Cement deliveries from Asment Témara, Ciments de l’Atlas, Ciments du Maroc and LafargeHolcim Maroc to Morocco in September 2024 increased by 4.1% year-on-year to reach 1,088,124 t from 1,045,795 t, according to the National Cement Association.
During the period January-September 2024, cement sales of APC members increased by 6.9% year-on-year to reach 9,818 Mt compared to 9,186 Mt during the same period of the previous year .
The Professional Association of Cement Manufacturers (APC) indicated in August 2024 that the cement market in Morocco will experience renewed activity in 2024, after a period of slowdown in 2023.
For the month of July alone, APC members delivered 1,189,016 tonnes of cement, i.e. +52.25% compared to July 2023. Cumulatively, that is to say at the end of the first seven months of 2024, deliveries reached 7,465,101 tonnes, recording an increase of +6.84% compared to the same period of 2023. Among the different segments, three particularly stand out for their dynamism.
